Anyone else trying to rent Heart of Darkness on Netflix, only to be informed there’s a “long wait” for it? What long wait? Why? Buy more copies. That it all.
Is this the first weekend in a long time — maybe the first weekend, ever — when TWO widely released major studio films (in this case, Strange Wilderness and Over Her Daed body) opened OUT of the top ten? Just wondering.
Joe, those 2 titles are a pickup and a reject.
“Over Her Dead Body” is from Gold Circle Films and got picked up by New Line. “Strange Wilderness” is from Sony-based Happy Madison but got rejected by Sony and came out through Par.
Aris, Paramount did not make a lot of copies of Heart of Darkness. It was a some what limited release on their part. This means that you have a wait in your future. Unless Paramount decides to put more copies of this documentary out in the future.
Anyone notice they’re releasing THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD tomorrow on DVD (and blu ray….woot!!) but the commercials are just calling the film THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES? Copping out at the end, eh AOJJBTCRF promo peeps…?
