This week, with True Grit screening for most of the Gurus, we’re going to do a second round on Friday to see how things have changed… or haven’t. And we’ll be doing all eight of the top categories, potentially reflecting new expectations. It will be our first look at the Screenplay categories as well.
In less pleasant news, Hereafter fell off the chart.

Well, we know Poland has seen True Grit before voting for this, and he put it at #1.
And we know Sasha Stone has seen it, and she put it at #2.
Obviously, True Grit is excellent…..
But the Gurus are not picking their favorites, or even quality for that matter. They are only predicting the Oscar nominations……… right??
When will Golden Globe Predictions arrive?
I’m surprised Another Year failed to pick up any votes. The Academy has recognized Mike Leigh’s films several times in the past and some believe this to be his best work. It probably won’t do much box office but neither did Secrets & Lies.
Why is Hammond still carrying the Shutter Island torch? It won’t happen.
I’m hoping The Town makes it. I haven’t seen some of those others, but I liked it more than 127 Hours (which was still really good) and The Kids Are All Right (also good, but “Best”?)
Dropping pounds is difficult and i did it with these easy steps I’ve lost 40 lbs in just a few weeks
