“Hundred-Foot Journey” is turning out to be a really smart investment and Helen Mirren is holding down the Meryl Streep August slot better than it initially seemed.
Who thought Helen would have out grossed Stallone & Company?
She should have been an Expendable.
Pete- Didn’t Mirren already go the “Expendables” route in the “Red” movies?
“If I Stay” has more staying power than I expected. Getting close to $50 million is more than respectable given the release date.
It’s a little surreal to realize Ashley Judd could be in the midst of a campaign to oust Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell rights now, but is instead out promoting insipid treacle like “The Identical” and “Dolphin Tale 2.”
movieman- Yes she did, and she was the best part of those films.
Maybe instead of getting the younger batch of no-name fighters, Stallone should have had Mirren, Sigourney Weaver, and Michelle Yeoh. It might have drawn in a wider audience.
Love Helen Mirren, but for me the best part of RED 2 was Byung-hun Lee. That dude is awesome and a fantastic actor (thought I SAW THE DEVIL is a much better showcase for his talent).
