I predict that the Oscar television show will have low ratings because the nine “Best Picture” nominees have few widely seen movies. So, I am guessing, the size of the TV audience will be low.

But I am also wondering, does the likelyhood of anti-Presdient Trump statements during show mean anything? Will the public stay away because they do not want to hear political things, or will they show up because they do want to hear political things?

And maybe outside of the United States more people will want to hear anti-President Trump things than in the United States?

Note: will anti-Trump speeches lead to upswing in video rentals of films staring the actors complaining about Trump? In Mexico, which already has reasons to dislike Trump, for example?
