What do people make of Joss Whedon’s criticism of Jurassic World? I was a little surprised, partly because all I remember of Black Widow in The Avengers is Scarlett standing in the background wearing extremely tight clothes, and partly because it seems a little uncool to publicly shame a movie he hasn’t seen.
Joss Whedon just helped popularize an entire genre of film where women are solely defined by the tightness of the spandex against their tits and how well they can do the splits in slow motion. He has about as much room to bitch about sexism as Michael Richards does racist cops.
Also, I don’t know where he got the 1970s from since that scene was mostly benign 1930s Hepburn/Grant gender role hokum.
