Trump today is STILL standing by his actions calling for the Central Park Five to get the death penalty. The men were exonerated in 2002 thanks to DNA & a convicted murderer & rapist's confession.
"They admitted their guilt," Trump said when asked about it today— Jeremy Diamond (@JDiamond1) June 18, 2019
"To see how the world hails the maestro who’s passed and ignores what he did, it has been very frustrating." I spoke with two men who say Franco Zeffirelli sexually assaulted them. https://t.co/YqHZhQRytk

It was wild watching this as it all went down over the last couple days. These reddit-scraping pic-spam accounts are almost always run by people like this, and I don’t get why they’re so popular. https://t.co/ok5Gl1fSxx

The animation world is grieving today with the loss of Suzan Pitt. She was an instructor, a mentor, and a friend to me, and to many, many others. If you have a chance to see any of her films, please do. "Asparagus" is currently on the Criterion Channelhttps://t.co/0yTTNGTe62

There is stuff being released into a kajillion theaters every weekend that I don't believe anybody was excited about making or marketing on the PEAK DAY for that movie. And clearly nobody's excited about seeing them.

It’s impressive that Kinberg takes more personal responsibility for his movie than Singer has for anything.

Forgiveness needs new beginnings, it needs burials, it needs to give up being right. It may need to bury dreams.
But when forgiveness gets what it needs, there’s FREEDOM and most importantly there’s LOVE.
LOVE for being who YOU are truly meant to be.

RIP Franco Zeffirelli, kind of a nightmare human who did amazing work in opera and made one of the great popular Shakespeare films, 1968's Romeo and Juliet. Think you can't separate the artist from the art? They just got separated.

The New York Times's obit omits Zeffirelli's history of sexual assault but does note that, late in life, he became a right-wing politician who called for the death penalty for women who have abortions. https://t.co/mpLBPj9XZN

Personally, I feel there is a problem in that show judging from several scenes I saw that it is made with more of a Westernized mindset than a true Jordanian mindest and I am not saying that they should represent a perfect image about the Jordanian Society but for the love of God

I wanted to see normal Jordanian nerd teenagers who accidentally deal with abnormal power of Jinn despite all the shit they face from social and economic problems with those old cliches that we Arab viewers learn by heart

In 1991Claire Denis came to New York and graced @TedHope and me with our very first production at Good Machine, the long-thought-lost but now found Keep it for Yourself. The folks at Le Cinema Club found a Japanese VHS copy, restored it, and here it is!: https://t.co/vqFdjs1ogB

Hey Film Twitter: I understand you are up in arms about Dylan being less than truthful about his life story in the new Scorsese documentary. Question for you: are you familiar with the career of Bob Dylan?

“The debtor filed a claim against Mr. Singer that he had no basis or legal right to file. Mr. Singer has denied even knowing this individual, let alone allegedly having interacted with him more than 15 years ago. The decision to resolve the matter with the bankruptcy trustee was purely a business one, as litigation costs would well exceed the amount requested by the trustee to pay off the creditors who were owed money when the debtor filed for bankruptcy.”

“For the positive spin — and it’s not spin, really, because it’s really happening — the Facets staff has been in place a long time, and they’re really stepping up in a big way. We are all committed to making this transition a big leap forward. A succession search for a new executive director is underway. This, above all is most heartening.”

“After shooting was over, I went to Los Angeles for the finishing touches. The studio put me up in soulless corporate accommodation. I didn’t think I was going to be there for long, but I realised they were doing this psy-ops thing on me, trying to wear me down. People seemed to really enjoy the screenings, but then their ratings on certain aspects were always lower than executives thought they should be, which confirmed their fears that I had made an art film. They wanted me to put in modern music – or reshoot. But I didn’t take any of their dumb ideas.”
