As the tectonic plates of Hollywood drift, people are scrambling to make secure their place in whatever the new arrangement will be, or at least make sure they don’t slide into the Arctic Ocean. The sides are fighting on a battlefield laid out on different maps. The writers want their agents to focus on being their agents, but it’s not clear a lot of the agents want to be agents at all. The writers are flexing their newfound muscle that allows them to act like producers, but do the great writer-producers still see themselves as writers?
